Am I Nima locations

The house is small, green-lit and full of doors that only Mom can open. Here are the rooms the studio or demo has actually shown — and the ones still deliberately hidden.

01 The known rooms

A house that behaves like a test.

HO! Games says the full game has five environments and more than 300 inspectable objects. The demo shows the basement, Nima’s bedroom and the bathroom; later updates reveal a laundry area and a boiler room. We do not have a complete map, and the studio has not published one.

The spaces below are the ones that can be named from the demo or official updates. Their order here is a reading aid, not a walkthrough route.

Scope note

HO! Games says the full game has five environments and more than 300 inspectable objects. The rooms listed here are the ones the studio or demo has shown by name; they are not a claim that this is the complete map.

The basement

Interrogation room, laundry and boiler room

The game opens in a basement room lit by hard red and green light. Trinkets, boxes and boxes of stored objects surround Nima while Mom asks the first questions. HO! Games has since shown a laundry area and teased a boiler room in the same basement complex.

What we know

  • Nima wakes tied to a chair in the opening scene.
  • Mom administers the first test with a bowl of congee.
  • The word library and Nima’s mind frame the room on screen.
  • A laundry area and boiler room were shown in 2026 development updates.

Nima’s bedroom

Trophies, plushies and homework

A shoebox of a childhood bedroom under green light. Between the trophies, books, drawings and the shark plush, the room gives the demo most of its word-building material and its clearest look at Nima before the basement.

What we know

  • The shark plush from the aquarium sits on the bed.
  • Swimming trophies and a swim-team word point to Nima’s athletic past.
  • A shelf of paleontology books connects to Mom’s work.
  • A locked locker in the room can be opened with a four-letter code found through play.

The bathroom

A locked door, a mirror and a bath

The bathroom is locked when Nima first asks to use it. Mom eventually opens it, and the room becomes one of the demo’s most memorable visual spaces: close mirrors, a bath, laundry baskets and a small green crocodile mat.

What we know

  • Mom keeps the door locked until Nima asks.
  • The mirror is used in official key art and screenshots.
  • Laundry and domestic objects sit next to the bath.
  • The cramped framing makes the room feel more claustrophobic than the bedroom.

Laundry area

Part of the basement

HO! Games showed the laundry area in its September 2026 development update as one of the full game’s expanded basement spaces. The final game will contain 300+ inspectable objects across five environments; this is one of the rooms that expands the basement beyond the opening chair.

What we know

  • Shown in the September 5, 2026 developer update.
  • Counts as part of the basement environment.
  • Adds more objects to inspect and new word opportunities in the full game.

Boiler room

A full-game location teased in 2026

The boiler room appeared in HO! Games’ March 2026 “One Year Update” as a never-before-seen location not included in the original demo. Little else has been revealed. We list it as a confirmed environment preview, not a walkthrough step.

What we know

  • Teased in the March 27, 2026 One Year Update.
  • Not part of the sources reviewed for the demo walkthrough.
  • One of the five environments planned for the full release.

02 Reading the house

Why the rooms matter

Domestic, not abandoned

The horror is not set in a ruin. The bedroom has toys; the bath has a mat; the kitchen has a routine. The house looks lived in because the point is that Nima’s captivity is happening inside a home.

Access is the plot

Locks, deadbolts and doors define the family dynamic. Mom decides when the bathroom opens and when Nima leaves the basement. The house is a map of who can say yes.

The mind is another room

The game frequently cuts between physical exploration and Nima’s interior image-space. The drawings and fossil imagery are not separate from the locations; they are the basement under the basement.
